This tailgate lock actuator is a direct replacement for Genuine Part Number Reference: 8P4827505D. Also known as a boot lock, boot lid lock, tailgate latch, rear hatch lock or tailgate central locking motor, it is the complete tailgate lock assembly with the actuator motor and microswitches built in, and uses a 3 pin connector. Replacing a failed lock cures a boot or tailgate that will not release from the remote or the interior button, central locking that leaves the tailgate unlocked, and a boot-open warning that stays lit with the tailgate closed.
