Also known as a cylinder head cover, valve cover, camshaft cover or rocker box, it seals the top of the cylinder head on the BMW N57 3.0 litre six-cylinder diesel engine and carries the integrated crankcase breather (PCV) housing. Replacing a cracked, warped or leaking cover restores correct crankcase ventilation and stops oil weeping from the top of the engine.
